The Cliffs of Insanity

**PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT**

If you ever find yourself in the situation of needing to get a bone marrow biopsy to try to find out what's going on with your blood, demand that you be anesthestised prior to the procedure. Aunt Tudi has withstood more pain than I can possibly imagine in a lifetime, but what the doctor did to her yesterday left her crying like a baby. Only afterward did we learn she had the option of anesthetic. Why doctors don't offer that up front is beyond me, but I'm telling you now, don't let your doctor perform this procedure without being knocked out.

I'm a total ninny when it comes to pain, so I already know what my choice would be, should I ever face the health complications Aunt Tudi has been facing these past few weeks. Keep your damn 20-foot-long needle to yourself unless it's full of drugs that will put me to sleep.

I'm only now getting over the experience so that I can write about it...and I wasn't the one the doctor tortured!

I am so close to finishing "The Sainted Confessor," it's not even funny. That, combined with the madness that will follow Dude's interview, will have my time in a vice grip for the next 36 hours, I'm thinking. If I owe you an email or some sort of communication, please be patient with me. I'm running on 1/4 of a brain and that's full of holes, so I want to do things right by everyone. That may take some time. Please don't think I'm ignoring or neglecting you. If I do either, you'll know it....Oh....you'll know it. BWAHAHAHAHA!

After having been accused of being an attention whore, even if it was just a joke (and I'm sure it was, considering who said it), I've decided to back away from LJ for a little while. I write here what goes on in my life and what goes on in my mind. I write for myself, as it's a wholly therapeutic exercise for me. I never write with the idea in my mind that I'll get comments or any other kind of attention. I abhor attention whores as much as I pity them. It distresses me that I might have come across as one. Comments are disabled because I require no replies. This is simply a PSA to let anyone out there reading this know that I'm going underground for a few days or so. Do any of you know of online American and Canadian magazines that accept music review submissions? I am in desperate need to know of these. Desperate. Did I say DESPERATE?
