It's the dumbest damned name I've seen in ages. So very Elmer Fudd, but...whatever.... Twitter is now featuring Twibes, which are like LJ Communities, but different with 140-character limits. Blog Boy's manager has created a Twibe for The Joker Blogs. So, in case you hadn't seen the announcement on zee Twitterpation, here's the link to join, if'n you wanna. What it's gonna be about is anybody's guess since this is a new kind of forum, but I figure it'll be fun, no matter what.

• What do you do for a living? I am currently trying to get disability because of a host of health problems; however, I used to be a Feudal serf toiling away in the Music Business. I worked there for almost 20 years, doing quality inspections of product before its release to the public and coordinating promotions for various artists over the course of my career. I still have ties to some of the people from those days, but only the cool ones. Most music business people (the business folk, not the artists) are dinks.


• How old are you? I'm 41, but not for much longer. Just the other day, though, I got carded trying to purchase a pack of cigarettes for my uncle. I think it's the Vampiric influence.


• Do you have any piercings or tattoos? My ears are pierced and I have a red and black Triskele tattooed on my right hand.


• Favourite food and beverage? I love Mexican food, but Indian food is a very close second. And Middle Eastern cuisine. Shawarma makes me very happy. Favourite alcoholic beverage is a mixed drink called the Screaming Orgasm. Non-alcoholic is the gloriously indulgent Cheerwine.


• Do you wear socks to bed? Do you wear anything to bed? During the two days of Winter the Armpit of Hell gets, I wear my entire wardrobe to bed because I'm cold-natured. The rest of the time, I try to be as skyclad as possible, because it's frakking hot here.


• How often do you read? Every day. I usually have 3 or 4 books going at one time in addition to reading a variety of things on Teh Intarwebs, and the movie guide in the bathroom.


• Do you go to concerts Not anymore. If it costs money, I tend not to do it at the mo. But when I was working for BMG, I often got gratuity tickets to a variety of concerts, Dave Matthews in particular. And Weird Al, who serenaded me once (ha!). Oh, and I won a contest to attend the taping of VH-1 Storytellers, featuring ELO/Jeff Lynne back in 2001. That was pretty much a dream come true.

I want to focus completely on my movies and music and it's been my experience that most everyone around me don't respect these media like I do and find it acceptable to make their own noise while I'm trying to pay attention. It fairly pisses me off.

To be or not to be?

Equilibrium comes on Sci Fi this weekend. It has three of my favourite actors in it: Taye Diggs, Sean Pertwee, and William Fichtner. BUT...it also stars Christian Bale. Now, do I try to look over that glaring flaw and attempt to watch the movie, or do I throw holy water on my TV at movie's air time and curl up with a good book instead?

All you Jokerized people who are fond of The Joker Blogs should go wish him a happy birthday 'cos it's 6/17. Actually, everyone on my F-list, whether Jokerized or not, should go wish him a happy birthday to the little dude. He deserves all the well-wishes he can get, considering how he's made so many people smile over the months. Consider it a Karmic thing: he's thrown happy vibes your way, so throw it back at him. Remember the Threefold Law y'all!
