The audio is out of the sync, but it's the only decent copy I could find on Da Toob. For my sis morriganwind, and anyone else who loves Warner Brothers cartoons.
That was my favorite scene, too. "And trip, and trip, and trip......" No matter how bad things are for him, he keeps trying! I also loves him with the artist, who teases him and erases parts of him! Poor Daff! LOL! He gets grief, I can relate!
"Now then, fatso, watch as I put a cloth-yard shaft through his wishbone."
I love Chuck Jones's dialogue. Tex Avery was very much the innovator of Looney Tunes, but once Jones broke out and did his own thing, it was genius. No other cartoon character has ever said 'accouterments'.
Chuck Jones never talked down to his audience and that's why so many of his cartoons are banned or cut to pieces now, because the modern viewer is apparently too stupid not to take his artistry for the subtle hilarity it was intended.
My hero
