Tonight, I'm in a 70s kind of mood. I happened upon this site while trying to find pictures of
Shields and Yarnell. It's
The Real Life Diary of a 70s Teen and there's so much here that I vividly recall, even though I wasn't a 70s teen. Reading this makes me wish I'd had more discipline in writing in my own diary back in the 70s and 80s. There's so much I could have immortalised had I only known the importance they'd carry years down the road. I guess that's why that cliché exists:
hindsight is 20/20. And, to maintain the 70s theme, I found the commercial that introduced me to David Naughton. The moment I saw him dance and heard him sing, I was in love. A year later, I was delighted to be watching him in his own series "Makin' It," while trying to find the 45 RPM of the theme song to the show. Little did I know that I would be ogling at his nekkidity a few years later in
An American Werewolf in London!
Lawdie, do I miss the 70s! Sometimes I miss the 70s more than I do the 80s.
