I wonder how many real aliens visit sci-fi conventions just to hang out and be groovy with the humans and, also to see if we'd even be ready for such a monumental event as aliens visiting Earth. Really, there's no way to discern alien from human with a lot of the costumes and make-up at anybody's fingertips. It's enough to make one wonder. If I were an alien, I'd so totally crash some parties and get all rowdy. People would fawn over my make-up and the groovy language I was speaking. Both men and women would want me and want to be me ~ it'd be crazy. And it would all be done without my normally having to cloak myself. I'd even walk down the street during one of the Dragon*Con parades, waving at the onlookers and the news camera. I'd even pose for personal shots, making gangsta signs with my flippers. It would be epic, I say, EPIC. Any self-respecting alien would do the exact same thing.

If I were an alien, I doubt if I'd attend cons. I don't think I'd be able to find a suitable costume.

Just as long as you don't land right by some poor soul whom no one's ever going to believe and then strut up and down in front of him wearing silly antennae on your head and making beep beep noises...
