So the Annie Lennox CD-pro saga continues....
Yesterday morning, the Cube Man played around with the idea of canceling the service and replacing it with one of his own. I suggested that we proceed immediately since I'd already prepared the service to which he responded that, since I'd already prepared the service, he'd just send me additions to it later on. That later on ended up being at the end of the day yesterday and the service he sent was a replacement service. It was too late for me to cancel the original so I asked that he modify the service to reflect only the additions. He got all huffy, I got all huffy, and the service stood as was.
This morning, I contacted the Cube Man via e-mail and asked if he wanted me to filter out the additions of the service so we could remain relatively on time. I didn't hear a thing until this afternoon, giving me the go-ahead to do what he should have done to begin with.....yes, I'm a big softy and let these people run all over me. More latent sub tendencies? Who bloody knows....
Either way, I'm gonna try to get the rest of the service out tomorrow and be done with the nightmare. It's only promising to get worse after John is officially ousted from our department. As the Shrieks would say, "making preparations for the whip-crack time".

Wal-Mart
Aunt Tudi and I made our weekly sojourn to Wally World today. She wanted to get her photos from the Charleston trip developed and we had groceries to purchase. We were in that hell-hole from a little before 5 pm until 6:20. By the time I was released from their corporate clutches, I was $118 poorer and few marbles lighter in the sanity department. What's even worse is I looked like a stereotypical Southern Wal-Mart shopper, thanks to my crap shampoo. Even though I washed my hair this morning, I was hobbling around Wally World with a grease cap on my skull. Yeee Haw! I swear to god, if someone tried to choke me, oil would shoot straight outta my head like a geyser. Something must be done! To make matters worse, I look like Gardula the Hutt in our photos so this hasn't been the best day for encouraging positive self-esteem.

Ocean
I'm still longing to be near the ocean. If I had my druthers, I'd liquidate everything, bitch-slap my Feudal Mistress, and move to Maine to gut fish for a living. I wouldn't care as long as I could hear Mother Ocean's ebb and flow. I hear Her in my sleep, when I get to really sleep, crashing upon the shore, churning life beyond our keenest imaginations. It occurred to me as I thought about all the people on the beach on Sullivan's Island that these folks were all lined up at the edge of the water looking out as though terribly homesick. Perhaps it's a genetic predisposition of we humans to long to return to that primeval womb that we don't consciously remember, but of which our cells are glaringly aware.

Matrix
I've decided to poke at Llew this weekend and see if he will take me to see Matrix Reloaded. Seems like it's popularity has waned a bit in its 2nd week running and I don't want to miss out on seeing it on the large screen. He already knows I'm PMS-ing so perhaps he'll be generous and pet me silly this weekend.

Feet
My feet stay swollen now. I wonder if it's weight-related or something else. It's really starting to piss me off. I stay in constant pain now, especially my back and knees, but my feet are catching up quickly. With all the co-morbidities I have, I'll be shocked if Cigna denies me the bariatric surgery. Then again, with the way I'm feeling, if Cigna does deny me, I may be prone to hunting the elitist shits down and shoving one of my big honking swollen feet up their respective chocolate wizways.

...and Speaking of Chocolate
During my PMS, I'm usually an extreme chocoholic. Not this month. This month I'm craving spinach and rare steak, neither of which I have in my possession. I wish someone would please have mercy on me and bring me some spinach dip and a sirloin from Applebees.

I'm off to take some aspirin and get a shower. I'd rather emulate Mel Brooks and OD on thorazine whilst chanting "life stinks...life stinks...life stinks..." but that's not an option at the moment.

I really like Nature's Gate Rainwater Tea Tree Oil shampoo. But then I like tea tree oil in general.

I can feel my IQ lower whenever I step into Walmart!

Love tea tree! We have some tea tree shampoo but it doesn't seem to help much. If I don't do something soon, George Bush is going to declare war on my scalp just to get the oil.
