My eyes flew open at 6:40 and I immediately had the Apostate on my mind. I'm working up to Orphaeus evoking a new memory for Cadmus just as I'm about to finish the tale of the Apostate. It's working out amazingly well. Once I position the Apostate's tale, my word count will jump a good 2 to 2.5k. Of course, that's nothing compared to Heidi's inhuman word count on any regular day of the week, but I'm still happy with my meager offering to the Muses.

I got hold of Aunt Tudi's spare cane and am using that instead of the walker. I hated that walker! Problem is, having the cane has turned me into House. I'm walking around, my cane in tune with the bad leg, popping Vicodin, and being misanthropic. Something tells me that my counselor would not be happy. That reminds me, I need to do my homework. Meh.

Lynn has started up a contest to win various Electric Light Orchestra-related items. She's posting trivia questions that, if answered correctly, gets you placed in a drawing. Whomever name is drawn wins the item available at the time. Right now, it's a tee shirt relating to "Hold on Tight" and the new ELO site, ELO.biz. I answered the trivia question, but I'm not sure I answered correctly. I guess we'll find out sooner rather than later. I'm pretty excited about this contest though, 'cos I fancy I know tons of ELO trivia. I just hope I haven't forgotten the majority of it over the years.

I've gotten myself some tea and I've had my meds. It's time to settle in and get some more writing done. Happy Tuesday to everyone and an extra O_0 dose of what-the-fuck to my fellow LOST fans. Tonight's the night for another hour-long OMFG session.

He eventually settled in the catacombs beneath Rome, setting up a magnificent laboratory filled with everything an alchemist could dream of having. The largest chamber of his laboratory was the holding cell where the Apostate kept animals and humans in captivity. His library was the next largest room and here the Apostate would jot down the results of his various cruel experiments. Besides his extensive Book of Shadows, the Apostate’s library was filled with arcane and alchemical manuscripts and scrolls. From these precious tomes did the Apostate glean even more occult knowledge. He studied these diligently and applied his own sciences to the arcana found in his library, thus making the Apostate deadly and dangerous. He was a rogue agent without constraint.

The Khemeth Tarmi sent out warnings to all the other Colleges and Tarmian strongholds across the Earth. The whole of the Tarmian race became aware of the Apostate. They created magickal charms of protection around themselves and the tribes of humanity that effectively barred the Apostate’s influence.

But the Tarmi’s magick wasn’t without flaws and, after many years of seclusion, working the dread alchemies within his hidden Roman stronghold, the Apostate was able to influence humanity in opposition to the strongest Magus to graduate from the Tarmian academies. The days of Yeshua were filled with breathtaking acts of magick and heartbreak, as the Apostate rose in power both in Rome and in Israel. He influenced the people to rise up against the Tarmian way and offer up as sacrifice to a veiled and vicious god, the Magus Yeshua. It was the Apostate who exacted the killing wound on Yeshua. He licked his blade clean of Yeshua’s blood and ripped the wreath of thorns from the broken Magus’ brow, returning to Rome with it so that he could work the damning spell that would sunder the Tarmi from Humanity until perhaps the end of time.
