Peek Sures

I got some of them scanned tonight, but there's many many more. It'll probably be Tuesday before I get anymore done.

The infamous Elton John Easter special. Behold the shame of my childhood. Cackle at my embarrassment. I don't care. Aunt Tudi is on the left and the Mother Unit is on the right. I thought I'd explain who was who, since their hair don'ts make them look like every other woman from that age.

My very first car, a 1973 AMC Gremlin. It had manual steering, which means I had the arms of Pop-Eye by the time I got a different car in 1988. I'd give my left nipple for another Gremlin though. I really miss that car.

[livejournal.com profile] clumsycake and [livejournal.com profile] green_goblin70 having an "intimate moment" after one of our many business luncheons before BMG turned into The Pit.

Smidgen, when she was still just a speck of a kitten, chillin' out with her 'Unca Riley.'

Me, aged 5, exhibiting psychotic behaviour.

And two pictures of Herbert Lom that I recently found on the 'Net. These are primarily for [livejournal.com profile] falkenna, who groks how profoundly desirable this man is.

I'm gonna try to finish up the family and friends pictures first, come Tuesday, then I'll do the art photos.

The one thing I have not done since I got home from Llew's is work on The Chalice. I just.couldn't.do.it. But I'm taking the computer with me to the school so I can write while I wait my turn there. Maybe then I can successfully wrap up "Sui Generis" and move on to "Beautiful Pets."

I love the Elton Easter outfit. It's fab.

[identity profile] sapphirescarlet.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
YAY!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first one! And your grownups look JUST like my mom in our home-grown Easter outfit pics from that era. I wish I had a scanner.

You look remarkably like your Aunt Tudi in that second picture of you. Not that she looks insane, but the eyes, the cheeks, the smile are all familiar.

[identity profile] m0usegrrl.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Easter pic = BEST.OUTFIT.EVAR. And I love the hair -- those are the kind of hairstyles it takes a full can of AquaNet to do up.

5-Year Old Tin = needs to be a user icon. NEEDS I SAY.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Funny you should say that. I told Aunt Tudi yesterday that I was going to turn that into my "happy as hell" icon.

[identity profile] janalyson.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
I thought the same thing, what a great icon!! You were fantastic in those pics. I figured out Aunt Tudi, you look more like her than the mother unit. You made my night bearable tonight, thanks for sharing!

[identity profile] demonicanevil.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
You're too cute, Tin...

Wayyyyyyyyy too cute...

Love the Easter outfit, btw :D

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
The pleasure is all mine! :)
Aunt Tudi is all Evans. My dad looked like a Parton (his mother's family), but the Mother Unit looks nothing like either of her parents. She looks like her Aunt Wilma. So I took the usage of recessive genes from my Mother Unit and adopted the Evans look as well. So that's why Aunt Tudi and I are always mistaken for mother and daughter. Go figger.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Why thankee!

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
We both got the recessive Evans gene, so that's why we resemble each other. Gotta love genetics!

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Me? Cute? Thankies!

[identity profile] zitronenhai.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
OMG that close-up shot of your face is FUCKING AWESOME. I salute you.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Merci! I just finished altering it. What do you think?

[identity profile] zitronenhai.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my dear JEEBUS that is GLORIOUS!!!

I love it.

I just love it.

[identity profile] moad-terran-hq.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Gah!

(Oh, thanks, that image is soooo going to help me get to sleep this eve....)

teehehe.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
heheheh

::bows::

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
You can count devil children now instead of sheep.

[identity profile] moad-terran-hq.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
The Elton John descriptor made me giggle my ass off at that first pic....

You really look like your Aunt Tudi more than your mom (I know, late to the party....).

I had an old amc pacer for one summer (before my dad stole it from me) - I loved that car, so I understand your feelings for your Gremlin.

Well, gotta go glue my ass back on....

[identity profile] teague.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm...I'm wondering if you can tweek the light and dark balance. It might be even scarier if it had some solid blacks in it, and maybe more saturated color?

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
I always wanted a Pacer because I thought it'd be cool to roll around in a big metal and glass bubble. Those balls that hamsters toodle around in are rodent Pacers, IMHO.

Use rubber cement for your glue. That way, if you ever fall on your ass, you will bounce.

[identity profile] teague.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Poor Tin. That Easter Outfit makes me want to report Aunt Tudi for retroactive child abuse. But then again, that other picture makes you look like a mean little shit what had it coming.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
I'm still a nudnick when it comes to Photoshop. I'm lucky to have done this!

[identity profile] moad-terran-hq.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I referred to my Pacer as the Moon Buggy. My sister called it the Butt Mobile.

I had to be careful repairing my ass - I pull most of my best ideas out of it....

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
All three of us were being abused by Granny, who made every outfit you see in the picture.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
I keep my head lodged in mine looking for ideas.

[identity profile] teague.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
If no one beats me to it, maybe I shall play with it, and offer it back.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
You're a peach, love. A peach!

[identity profile] zitronenhai.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
It got me so enraptured I entered bad HTML!

[identity profile] ginamariewade.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's the ill-fitting beret that makes the Elton John outfit.
They tortured us kids back in the 70s, you know.

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
And then they wonder why we're so strange today.

[identity profile] ginamariewade.livejournal.com 2006-08-01 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
But is it really any worse than this?

[identity profile] tinhuviel.livejournal.com 2006-08-01 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
At least you got Laura Ingalls! I don't think it's any little girls wish to be Elton John. ;)

[identity profile] ginamariewade.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
This dress is the reason I did not wear pink until I was 35.

Very muchly so, oh Great Mistress of the Alpaca Lips.
