I know I just dropped a comment on your post, but I thought I'd mention that amid grovelling for a Beta (known elsewhere as Chinese Fighting Fish), the Kitten saw the puppy and is pawing at it. She ultimately wants an Alaskan Husky for a pet.

She's a bit dorky, but I love her. :P

Huskies are great pets as long as you can run 'em around. :) I wouldn't recommend having one in an apartment, tho.
