OH RAWK. i've never actually seen the video! the OP calls it "creepy", and i agree, but it's deliciously creepy. decadent and dark and B looks SO WONDERFULLY EVIL that you just want to go live in his world, even if the price to do so is your SOUL. ^__^ "come to the Dark Side, our parties are so much better!"
I have to say I'm one of the few who don't have that reaction to him. Yes, I think he's beautiful, but there's no sexual connotation there for me. My fascination lies elsewhere.
Ohhhhkay. Weird how I always like people who have to grow into their faces. He's way too young here for his particular looks.
On the other hand, he is completely and utterly Cadmus. I totally get it now. You don't have to separate the real from the imagined, but only the mature from the young. This is Cadmus. But it sure ain't Barry, Jim, not as we know him. Since I missed all of that, and didn't grow with him, it makes me feel really weird that this is supposed to be the person I know. You what???? Can't see it.
(It makes me feel really strange to imagine what I would have made of the whole thing if I had seen the video then.)
And this, my friend, is why I agonised over risking your life by persuading you to take him in for his Brighton concert. This is who I knew. Not the mellow fellow you met.
