My new phone is dicking around with my mental health. When I hold it, I want to flip it open violently and scream "KHAAAAAAAAN!"

Is there some way to overcome this short of wiping my mind clean of all Star Trek references?

Great. Now I'm quoting C-3PO.

Y'know, you may not believe me, but I swear I've been blurting that out for two days now. I think it's the catchphrase for the current era.

"We're fucked now, man! What are we gonna now, man?"

Well, if you're going to go all Kirk on us, you might has well have a fight with the Feudal Mistress near a flaming pit of lava, ending in a repeated kick at her hands: "I. Have Had. Enough. Of You!"

You mean you can't see battling each other with lirpas and ahn woon to the battle music from "Amok Time" and The Cable Guy?

Only if I got to be Jim Carrey which, I must admit, has always been a sick fantasy of mine.

I'd love to see a clever video edit between that and Episode 3, where Kirk is kicking Anakins face in.

Gotta jot that idea down.

I've been in that ugly trap b4.

You need to go to that most sacred of holies - the blessed B5 references.

Much better for all involved.

Is it true that the inspiration for the design of CDs/DVDs came from Star Trek as well?

I don't think so, though Sony (tm) Memory Sticks are Trek influenced.

I doubt it. I've answered my phone, "Spock here" at least once or twice.

I still have my MicroTAC 650e, which still works. If I could find my battery charger, I'd see if I can still call out. I started on a pre-pay plan and took over two months to run the minutes down. However, I was still able to make calls for about two and one-half years after. And the carrier never figured it out. They just lost track of me. Last time I was able to use it was about a year and a half ago.

Think I can get service connected to it?

I was agreeing with everyone here about the possiblities of a cure, but then the ultimate treatment possibility occurred to me.

While withholding the treatment may be considered cruel, actually telling you what it was would be even more cruel. Trust me. I was bummed just typing it out.
