A positive outlook is the only way to go. It's either that or fall into a deep depression. You have a realistic plan and it sounds good. Maybe while in training you can intern at your vets office. You may have to clean litter boxes for free, but it will go a long way twards your experience. Many vets office accept interns. Check it out.
On another note I think you know we will all miss your posts each day from the pit. Your the reason livejournal is a good place to visit.
