Life with Llew

We had a special evening tonight. I left straight from work to spend some time with him before my weekly Weight Watchers humiliation.
When I got there, I told him my plans to go to the meeting, then head home and get a bit of supper since I had gotten no lunch. Then he told me that all he'd had the entire day were two pieces of toast! And that was at 2 PM...DAMN! And he wasn't sure if he would get supper. What the hell? So I asked him if he wanted me to drive him to a burger joint so he could get some supper. Yes, was the resounding answer.
So he got ready while I prepared the car for him, and I took him to Burger King. While he sat in the car and listened to the radio, I attened my WW meeting (3 paper clips for me, thanks). Afterward, we drove about the countryside admiring the night and enjoying each other's company. In an odd way, it's like we're getting to know each other all over again since his injuries. Strange, eh?
Anyway, we spent a very sweet eve with one another and, before I left, I promised Llew that I'd be calling before lunch each day to see if he'd gotten any food and, if he hadn't, I was going to bring him some. I still can't believe he hadn't gotten anything to eat but some toast. He needs to maintain a level of nutrition to encourage swift healing. Any holistic healer will tell you that.
Other than the shock of his maltrution, we had a wonderful night. It's times like this that make me realise why it is I love Llew as much as I do.
