Please read and help if you can, especially all you Texans who might have any leads on animal rescue operations that may be able to help!

ARGH - I found a senior Rottie near the coast. A friend & I were ready to load up & get her to save her from the needle. I've got land though my animals stay inside... but to save a life, I'm willing to make outside areas for *them.* I know I have reached my limit inside. I've rescued a number of dogs old & young - I adopt them for free to any good person... So far I've been successful.

Well this poor dog - I can't get her because she is a restricted breed. ALSO she cannot leave the county??? I have to be a Breed specific rescue... *experienced rescue*...

Just because she is a Rottweiler.

If anyone knows someone in Texas:

Yes I do know most everyone is full beyond belief.

ALSO if anyone knows about forming 501c3 organizations aka rescues - please let me know... I can't do it in time for her, but maybe in the future. I already have a few people that would help provide dog food & monies for dog related vaccines/drugs....

Tattoo!

Aunt Tudi and I went out to pay bills today. While we were out, we stopped by the local Circle K to get gas and a 99-cent slush (they're on sale right now!). Now this Circle K is less than two miles from the house. Beside the Circle K is a strip mall. Imagine my surprise when I saw the new business in the strip mall - a tattoo parlour called Lady Liberty Tattoo!

Tattoo parlours were against the law in most of South Carolina, save for the Charleston and Myrtle Beach areas, because they're tourist traps and SC lawmakers can overlook their moratoriums on what they deem unseemly activity, if they can make a quick buck. When body art started becoming a sensation, and the powers that be witnessed people crossing the border in droves to go to places like Asheville to get their tattoos, myself included, the law against tattooing was brought into question. Eventually, sometime in the first decade of the 21st Century, the law was repealed and tattoo parlours were allowed to set up shop.

I started seeing tattoo parlours pop up in various areas in Greenville and Spartanburg, but never thought I'd ever see one in Duncan of all places. This village is a tad too staid for such inking shenanigans, or so I thought. I was very pleasantly mistaken this morning, and it almost made me run off the road in shock.

When I'm ready to get the other tats I want, though, I will still go to Asheville to get them. It's something of a pilgrimage for me, and I don't see having a spiritual inking experience in South Carolina. I despise this state so much, I can't get around my feelings in order to get inked here. I hope Lady Liberty Tattoo does well and spreads body art beauty all over Duncan, but I'm afraid I can't be one of their customers.

Someone sent me this picture of Tom Hardy with a note expressing confidence that I would like it. And I do. [livejournal.com profile] acook, this reminds me, I need to send you Cadmus' secondary anchor ~ Tom Hardy. Stay tuned for an email with more photies.

In the meantime, here's a couple of photies of Tom Hardy, one very Cadmusian in black leather and pale skin. The other is very tribal, which Cadmus most definitely has no problems submitting himself to the chaotic realm of tribal rites and ritual. It's insane how this boy can transform himself.

I wrote the folks at Malaprops about a possible reading gig for The Chalice. Now that I have the ability to go home, I'll have the chance to be more proactive with the Malaprops. I can get in their faces. :)
