Aunt Tudi has an appointment with the eye doctor today, which means she's gonna leave the office with huge Anime eyes and unable to see. I'll try to get a picture for Tudiesday.

I've been awake since 4 this morning. After feeding the dogs and getting me some tea (sweet Southern tea ~ the kind with killer caffeine), I began writing. After yesterday of not being able to do diddly for the most part, the words just flowed this morning. I've already written over 2000 words. I plan on taking the computer with me to the doc appointment since Aunt Tudi is usually there for a while. I'm thinking I can easily break through the 3000 word barrier and go even further today. I now have over 30k words for The Augury of Gideon and I already have the end of the book and the series mapped out in my mind. I may go ahead and write the ending. It'll give me incentive to fill in the blanks between the events I've already written and the end I have planned. I'm a beginning and ending type person. I always read the beginning and end of any book I'm reading, then I'll go ahead and read the rest if I'm sufficiently intrigued.

I'm now drinking Twinings English Breakfast tea and about to take my meds for the day. "True Colours" is on iTunes and that makes me want to write Faust/Kallum, but I'm on a Dmitri section right now. Gah! How frustrating. Ha ha ha!

I've had to create a spreadsheet mapping out the course of The Augury of Gideon because I have so many plotlines that will eventually come together.

The Haunted Angel Kallum and Cadmus
The Shroud and the Jewel Agatha Crawford
The Dhampir Sydney/Ishtar
The Dreams of Madness Cadmus
Remembrance Kelat
The Persistent Spirit Cadmus
Kids These Days Rebekah and Mephistopheles
Prophecies and Pariah Kelat
The Angel and the Vampire Ishtar
The Swan and the Writer Agatha and Orphaeus
Cadmus' Journal: Divine Intervention Cadmus
The Dreams of Angels Kallum
The Road Trip Thiyennen
The Art of Emotion Kelat and Cadmus
Digging in the Dirt Rebekah and Mephistopheles
In League with Beasts Agatha, Orphaeus, Rebekah, and Meph
The Well of Memories Dmitri
Cadmus' Journal: (unknown) Cadmus

A year ago, I would have never had to create such a thing, but my mind just isn't what it used to be since I had those seizures. It makes me feel inferior in a way, but then I'm glad I have the capacity to create a guideline, or chart, that helps me keep the flow of the narrative smooth. I can't believe I'm about to go into the eighteenth chapter and hit 35,000 words on the last book. I would have already gotten past 35,000 if I hadn't just pooped out.

As it stands now, I've merged Orphaeus and Agatha with Rebekah and Mephistopheles, and Kelat with Cadmus. The next step is to reunite Kelat with Dmitri and his crew. They can then all meet in the basement of the SoHo apartment building so Kallum can meet and greet everyone...erm...properly.

So far, I have written 4,350 words. It's amusing that I couldn't hardly get one word out yesterday but, today, I'm Ms. Wordy McWord. Part of this is the 1000 words I mustered whilst waiting for Aunt Tudi at the doctor's office. I was writing Cadmus, which almost always comes easily to me since I've lived with the character for so long. Not that I haven't lived with the other characters! It's just that my time with Cadmus is pretty much 24/7, so my comfort level, if you can call it that, is much higher with him than with the other characters, except for maybe Kelat.

Aunt Tudi's doc appointment was with the eye doctor. I got a killer photo of her dilated eyes, so be prepared for a super close-up come Tudiesday tomorrow. At the moment, she pretty much can't see a thing and is already developing a headache, but such is the way with some folks when they get their eyes dilated.

I'm drinking Scottish Breakfast Tea, aka Whisky. After having tried the Irish Whiskey the other day, I was keen on trying the Scotch Whisky because I prefer Scottish to Irish any ole day of the week. I got a wee bottle of Dewar's and am loving it. I like it as well as I did the Bushmill's, but this just makes me want to try something like Glen Fiddich or, especially Laphroig. I don't even think you can get Laphroig in the US. If I could find a Scottish Whisky that had the same effects as Absinthe, I'd be a happy camper. I'd be a writing fool, transcribing every vision to paper like a faithful lapdog of altered states. Ah well.
