Her own, other people's eyes, it doesn't matter. I went to bed around 1:30 and the last time I looked at the clock, it was 3:30. I woke up at 5:30 and gave up trying to get back to sleep around 6 when Aunt Tudi got up to go to the bathroom. I just finished giving her her shot and feeding the dogs. Next, I'll feed the weasels. What?

Beautiful Mick Hucknall

Now, usually, I'm not partial to red-haired men. There are two exceptions to this: Danny Elfman and Mick Hucknall, the golden voice that drives Simply Red. After giving it some thought, I figured I'd splurge on a video from iTunes. The one I had in mind was "Stars," because this music video was what made those little cartoon lines shoot out the top of my head with shock. Before "Stars," Mick Hucknall was, for me, a very gifted singer I loved to listen to, but I wasn't really keen on looking at him, because of that whole red-haired deal mentioned earlier in this post. But "Stars?" OMGWTFBBQFBICIAKGBAFLCIO and other important initials! He was beautiful. Stunning. Even, dare I say, sexy. I could look at him sing this song all day long. And I probably will.

I Haz a Swedish Bukket Full of Finnish Wonder

Before we went to the doctor for Aunt Tudi to have her big toe checked out (bad infection, probably diabeetus-related), we swung by the Big PO to pick up our mail. I had a package! It was from oleander56 and included a lovely letter with a set of DVDs that contain the movie version of the Finnish Kalevala! ::dies:: I knew he was sending it but, to have this in my Tolkien-forged paws, is just beyond joyful. Aunt Tudi has reign over the TV tonight but, tomorrow, while she's napping and nursing her toe, I'm going into full-on Myth Geek mode.

Thank you, oleander56. You've made this Dark Elf very happy. But you'd make me even happier with another installment to your story. ::hint hint:: I'm never satisfied.
