Rob Brezsny makes me uneasy sometimes. I did find the accompanying picture profoundly provocative, though.

I just discovered a couple of errors on the letter from B (my errors). He initially left out "Naked Apes & Pond Life," the 9th Shriekback album, so I was asked to switch things around when updating the sites. I thought I'd fixed all the numbers, but apparently not. Back to the drawing board tonight. It shouldn't take long, but...GAH! I hate it when I don't do things right the first time around. It makes me feel inadequate to the nth degree.

To answer the question in my poll from yesterday, the man in the picture I posted is, in fact, Barry Andrews. I loved all your answers though! Of course, the correct answer was Barry Andrews; however, other choices that were acceptable were:

  • Cadmus Pariah ~ since he is, in fact, the inspiration and catalyst for the character that has now grown out of control and threatens the entire world

  • A Spectre who haunts Tin's dark horses (nightmares) ~ yes, I've had nightmares about him. And, yes, that's one of the reasons I forged Cadmus.

  • Aleister Crowley's Sith Apprentice ~ maaaaaybe. He's been known to wear Crowley tees (wore one at the Belgium reunion concert) and he makes various Thelemic references, so you never know.

  • Tinhuviel's Sith Master ~ yeah, kinda. His music was inextricably fused to the Maul Myth in my head many years ago. The two fed off each other and created my own personal canon. So, yeah, it's feasible in a "Tin is a complete psychotic and must be committed" sort of way.

Oh, and about the astounding thing I found online yesterday. It was this.

not UFOs, even though that would have been abundantly groovacious )

Now, I must toil.

The Feudal Mistress just informed me that this is my tentative exit date.

I took this in November of 2002. So I figured I'd take it again and see what happened.

I don't want to touch my 101K until after the first of the year. I have the car and two credit cards left to pay off, but I have insurance on both credit cards that will pay my bill for up to 6 months if I'm disabled or unemployed. So.....

Upon the opening of the large creaking door that currently keeps me trapped in The Pit, I am going to fly out with my severance like the Blue Bird of Happiness and immediately pay off my car. I'm then going to file the appropriate paperwork with the credit card insurance people and get that started, but I'm not going to pay off the cards at that time. I'm going to let the insurance I've been paying for for so long do its job for a while, then pay off whatever's left after the first of the year when I pull out the 101K.

Todd is going to be in NYC in September, so I'm rescheduling the NY trip to then so I can see him and show Aunt Tudi the Big Apple. This way, I won't have to go to Portland and can save some dough.

This will move the England trip up to mid-November, I'm thinking.

After the first of the year, I'll be eligible for lottery funds for school and will register for the March classes. At that time, I will pull out the 101K and apply at Dr. Patch's for the job I hope to have. By then I'll know my schedules and won't have to worry about any conflicts.

::determined nod:: I believe I have it all under control, just how I like things. Now, if I can just pull it off.

Is anyone else as excited about THIS as I am? And Danny Elfman sings a song or two in this, so this thrills me even more because he has an absolutely beautiful voice. That's what I'm looking forward to most. Him, then Joanna Lumley, because she's Patsy! Pats! Pat! Puh! P... !

I just fixed the sites of my dread mistake.

Have been informed that The Bed of Mysteries has probably found a new home. *makes note to self to show B my poem someday.....soon......now that the Bed is fresh on his mind.*

Also, I've written Barry to let him know about when I'm Blimey Bound. Discussed with [livejournal.com profile] falkenna and she's cool with the dates of 10 through 18 November. I also need to let [livejournal.com profile] trial_lobotomy know, as she is going to try to fly over from Hungary so we can have a wee DMEB mini-con, the three of us. That would be beyond cool.

I think I shall now scamper about excitedly into the early morn hours. All this news has given me a shot of adrenaline.
