• The real possibility of getting the surgery I so desperately need after the first of the year.


• The chance to befriend my living animus Barry Andrews


• Getting my job at Telesuck back when I needed it the most


• Reconciling with the Father Figure


• That Chester and Riley are getting along

"The Practice" is on, on what channel, I don't know. It's one of the older ones with Dylan McDermott. He's a hottie, but he's no James Spader. This one features Camryn Manheim a good bit. I sometimes wonder if we're distantly related. Half my family are Manheims and she and I do resemble each other up to a point. Rene Auberjonois is a judge in this episode. I remember him as a painting forger in 'The Bionic Woman'. He was also Odo in 'Deep Space 9', Star Trek's answer to 'Babylon 5'. Too bad they didn't have the balls to even hope to challenge J. Michael Strazcynski.

I need to get another digital camera. Since the wreck busted mine beyond all repair, I've missed being able to capture images at Will. It sucks to lose that ability.

2 more hours to go and then I can zip home to my honey and a couple of hours of sleep. I need to be up and running by 12 at the latest. Todd is calling to make plans for a visit tomorrow/today (third shift messes with my mental time continuum). It's going to be good to yuk it up with my bud. Alas, it's been too long! Llew has never met Todd, so I'm looking forward to that encounter.

Speaking of Winter, I'm beginning to prepare for the Solstice celebration at GUUF. Nan is wanting me to sing Pagan-themed songs and she sent me the link to a site that has all manner of groovy tunes and lyrics. I think my favourite one so far is "Moon of Silver," sung to the tune of "We Three Kings". The Women's Circle is going to be festive come Alban Arthan!

Early Chilly Morn

I embrace the morning, the promise of dawn just minutes away. It heralds my freedom and the surety of slumber, wrapped in the warmth of my loved one, safe, blessed, filled with dreams.

Just counting the minutes am I until 7 a.m. when the cold wind will tease the skin of my face and wake me up enough to be able to drive home.
