Phen-Fen/Redux Settlement

After over three years of waiting and being told to fuck off by lawyers and settlement folks alike, I got my portion of the AHP Settlement Trust ~ a whopping $500.00! But the letter says I may be entitled to more, so hang in there.

I'm going to use a portion of this money to buy some of the supplies I'll need for when I have the WLS. How ironic is that? The rest will go for bills, groceries, gas, medicine ~ y'know, necessities!

Hell, we may even have a semblance of a Christmas now.

Things I Want to Do

I've been reserving this level of hope for some time but, now that it seems that I will be able to have the surgery, I want to keep a record of the things I want/hope to do once I'm at a "normal" size.

First and foremost: Salvage my health!
All else is secondary to this.

The rest:

• Resume my Kung Fu training


• Resume my Middle Eastern Dance training


• Learn to swim


• Get a bike and ride it, maybe even to work and back


• Join a local theatre and act


• Find another job (yes, I've been discriminated against in this arena)


• Go to Carowinds and ride ALL the rides


• Go hiking


• Go kayaking and white water rafting


• Go dancing


• Get involved in educating people on the horrors of obesity. It's been my experience that you're more easily seen and heard when you're smaller.


• Join in on local walk-a-thons


• Take some voice lessons to further develop what singing skills I have

That's all I can think of for now. I'm sure there will be more as I get closer to reaching my goal.

Productive!

I got the huge "American Idol" press mailing out to the warehouse for shipment tomorrow.
On top of that, I processed two Dave Matthews Band press mailings, a multi-artist prepack for various country artists, two urgent Alicia Keys mailings, not to mention about 200 individual orders for CD's and POP.
I've got a fried brain and noodle fingers.
