Well, it's promising to be another fabulous day in the Pit. (she says, sarcasm dribbling from her voice like warm molasses...or is that mole asses? I forget...)

...with rich lawyers....

The Music Biz attempts to sue and enslave its consumers

Don't the Big Guys realise that if they'd cease signing talentless models and start signing and appreciating the real musicians out there, focus on concerts, and produce albums worth buying, they wouldn't have to resort to terrorising music lovers just to make a buck?

Of course, they don't understand this concept because they're, for the most part, a horde of morons. ....and I should know.

I just received a pouch from J Records containing 5 orders, all of which need to arrive yesterday.
Where's Time Cop when you need him?

'Cos Barry Andrews is the new King of Funk!

Got the new Stic Basin album today and it kicks major boo-tay. The first song, 'MuargMuarg', is pure funk. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of it. Oh yes Oh yes.

I took this a long long time ago before I even had a computer of my own but, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bluestocking7, I'm taking it again.

The Shepherd is to tend to your human flock. You understand the needs of those for whom you are responsible. Shepherds are vigilant and reliable. You realize your obligation and commitment to the well being of those entrusted to your care. Shepherds are very dependable. You engender a feeling of
comfort and stability to those within your charge. On the positive
side, Shepherds can be empathic, caring, understanding, practical and realistic. On the negative side, you may be manipulative, close-minded and sentimentally rigid. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

I just received the new KISS poster. Even though he's 1000 years old, Gene Simmons fries my onions. I've heard he has a big black book filled with names of all the women he's been with. Unfortunately, my name is not in there.

I'm helping [livejournal.com profile] sri3m take care of her Neopets while she is away from the Internet. I'm making her tons of money on the Ultimate Bullseye. Man, I love that game. Anyway, she and [livejournal.com profile] insanvs are moved into their new apartment and seem quite happy with it. I hope all goes well for her and that she is soon back online as I miss her like crazy.

Aunt Tudi and I are not going to Wally World today. We've decided to stay in for the evening and brave the Redneck waters of Walmart tomorrow afternoon instead. Besides, we have a date in front of the telly tonight at 10. Yes, indeedy, it's Ren & Stimpy night! Woot!

I've been thinking about how our lives shift and flow along each day. Something tells me I'll end up posting a long pseudo-philosophical ramble here quite shortly. I can feel the need to express that which cannot be expressed. Even though that sounds pretentious, I don't mean for it to. I wasn't sure if "unexpressable or inexpressable" are words and I don't have the means to find out at the mo. Also, I'm fairly certain I'll fail miserably at achieving my odd urge, so there's no attempt on my part to be or act superior in any way.

So I have work to do. Am I doing it? No.

Next week blesses us Serfs with a 4-day weekend. Of course, we have to put up with the patriotic bullshit of 4 July, but that's OK. I figure I'll be asleep through most of it, except when there are "bombs bursting in air". Bleh. Next week is my Moon week too. I sincerely hope this Moon is more merciful than last month's. At least this month, I'll get to retire to my figurative menstrual hut and let the world go by without for a few days.

I've begun work on The Tango. I think the heroin in the tale will be called Nyx. Still not certain if the tale will be non-canon and Nyx will be Cadmus' friend or if the tale will stick to Cadmus' resilience and demand blood. I just hope I can finish it without running out of steam. What I really wish is to finish up Sui Generis.

Plans are gelling for our trip to Asheville on Saturday. The current roster of road trip attendance stands at Aunt Tudi, Steph, Llew, and myself. Since we're all a bit financially embarrassed, our plan is a simple one: split the cost of a KFC family dinner, ride up high into the mountains, find a wonderful magickal foresty spot, and have a picnic. We may not even go to the city for very long and it might be just to drive through at that. Homesickness might overcome me, though, and compel me to visit downtown, West Asheville, and Tunnel Road....not to mention Chief Pontiac!

Storms are supposed to come tonight. And Llew is supposed to come over. After Ren & Stimpy, it would be nice to curl up with him and watch the lightning course across the night sky. What else may be in store, only the Mighties ...and possibly Llew....may know.

I just looked at the clock. I get to leave in 20 minutes. WOO HOO!!

After years of hinting about and speculation, the asthma hound chihuahua and the retarded cat came out of the closet.
