I don't think I should be here at work right now as I'm still a bit addled from the long weekend. Sciatica is about to make my left leg fall right off my body and I'm sleepy as hell. As Gloria Gaynor would say, though, "I will survive!"
The visit went pretty well except for a small altercation between the father-figure and myself. I had a few flashbacks to my childhood but was grateful to Llew for standing by me so steadfastedly and lovingly. To be honest, I doubt I would have even attempted to bury the hatchet to begin with had it not been for Llew's unswerving support of me.
Highlights of the visit:
It's good to be back home though. Even if it is a teeny, over-crowded, unventilated hovel......there's no place like home.
One thing that must be done is to get Llew and Aunt Tudi together and have Llew tell Aunt Tudi what was said between Dad and himself. Daddy took us each and spoke to us separately (always a bad sign), so stories need to be compared and the truth filtered out. It's a shame this has to be done, but Dad is notorious for not only stretching the truth but inventing it outright. But he's very sick, so we're all trying just to look beyond that and let him do his thing without any more trouble or hard feelings. It's the best and easiest way, especially for him and Aunt Tudi, who need to be siblings to each other in peace.
OK, that's it. I'm off to do a survey before I start working like a slave.

Highlights of the visit:
- Going to the beach on Sullivan's Island
- Watching 'Caligula' with Llew in the middle of the night
- Aunt Tudi's festive birthday dinner ~ good company, good eats
- Being in a house with central air and enough room to actually walk around ~~ heaven!!
