Back in the Pit
May. 7th, 2003 08:55 amTina came up and told me how they were packing the Annie Lennox posters. They were to be packaged completely flat but the warehouse apparently doesn't have a box to do that. They're packing them as flat as possible according to her and then she added that the Feudal Mistress had come out and approved of the way the posters were being packed. She noticed the instant skeptical lift of my brow and said I could come out and see how it was being packed for myself and stop it if the method was unsatisfactory. I told her I would.
Then....
Memories of Monday morning wafted into my mind and I was reminded of my grunt status by the Mistress' own words. It was at the moment I called Tina back and told her:
"The Feudal Mistress is my superior and, if she feels the packaging of the posters is satisfactory, then there's no need for me to come out and check it. We'll adhere to her standards in this."
So....if the mailing is a complete failure and we get reamed for not following instructions, guess who is going to look stupid? Of course, she's in charge and what she says goes, so there's no way I can be blamed for this failure. Like a good little Nazi Prole, I'm just following orders.
