Not for the first time, I get a letter from B, then find The Stand on the telly, right at the scene where Nadine is "promised" to Randall Flagg in her dream. I swear, my hair will be snow white one day and I'll plunge from a tall building with a devil bun in the oven.

I read The Stand as a teenager - I swear I hate it when they make Stephen King movies....

He was my Fav writer until it went to movies... they change too much.

I was watching that today on the SciFi channel till David got home.

That movie had some wacked out scenes. My favorite characters were Molly Ringwald and Rob Lowe.

The book was better.

God, I hate that book. I read it last year - read King for years and successfully avoided it until Michie told me to read it just to get it over with, and then we both ragged on it together. But I really enjoy the first two parts of the miniseries, which I hadn't seen before except for clips on tv. And it's not so much really watching it as it is having it on in the background. The last two parts are good for us to shake our heads at and make fun of.
