How did those crazy scientists know, I ask you? lowland_rider was kind enough to do some math, calculating the Black Hole Alpaca Lips to occur around, you guessed it, December 2012! I'm hoping it's sooner, but the Mayans didn't calculate 12-21-2012 for nothing, so I guess I'll just have to grin and bear it, and consider the machine's start-up being on this day as an investment and promise that greater things are on the horizon (until there's no such thing as a horizon anymore ~ ha!).
